From this darkness, the legend of Huang-ho Sui-mo, the invincible "Yellow River Water Demon," was born. A lone pirate, feared by foes and respected by allies, he dominated the entire Huang-ho current with his sword. Yet, unlike other pirates, he dared to defy the tide of evil among his peers, protecting small fishermen and farmers from oppression, even with an iron fist. He was a demon transformed into a protector.

Time rolled on, ferocity subsided, and wisdom emerged. Huang-ho Sui-mo then withdrew from the dark world, transforming into Thian Bong Sianjin, a powerful Taoist hermit revered as a "Human Immortal." With white hair and a hermit's robe, he still sailed the Huang-ho, becoming a hidden protector for those in need.

Now, in the same vortex of destiny, emerges Thian Hwa, a tiny gem raised by the fury of the Huang-ho. Found as a baby adrift during a great flood, she was adopted and trained in extraordinary martial arts (ilmu silat) and water skills by Thian Bong Sianjin himself. This spirited young girl, with a will of steel, is the true heir to her grandfather's power and wisdom.

One beautiful morning, aboard a small boat swiftly navigating the river's bends, Thian Bong Sianjin tested his granddaughter. A narrow bend in the Koai-siong-lim forest awaited, not merely as a natural obstacle, but also as a symbol of life's trials.
